Quieting yourself, and connecting with God, moment by moment, is crucial in order for us to become securely attached to God. This way we can see ourselves through the eyes of heaven and know our relationship is safe and solutions can be found when conflicts and problems arise.
Conflict is going to happen. People will ruffle our feathers. Circumstances will stress us out. Quieting is the key to staying connecting and finding solutions to problems. When you see yourself through the eyes of heaven, you feel safe and secure. Defenses come down and conflict can be resolved.
It's important to have a strategy ready before you're in the middle of conflict. So this week let's practice quieting outside of conflict. Take a few moments each day to connect with God. Find a rhythm of what it feels like to be centered in Him.
Then when conflict arises, you know what to do.
