Maturity entails much more than merely being able to balance a checkbook or buy a
house. Primarily, it's actually about our ability to function in strength and health in all of our
relationships. The level of our relational maturity directly connects with our ability to endure
hardship well. In difficult times, relational maturity will be the determining factor in answering this
vital question:
“Can I act like myself in the middle of heavy emotions or overwhelming situations?"
Take a moment, sit with the Lord, and journal about the differences between how you would describe maturity and how we describe maturity.
