Attachment is a deep and enduring emotional bond that connects one person to another across time and space, that can not be broken.
Here's an attachment exercise for this week:
👉 Set a timer for 20 minutes, and sit down with a blank sheet of paper and a pencil.
👉 Starting with your birth, draw a timeline, marking the major events in your life - specifically, events that had a big impact on you - and title them.
👉 Throughout the week, spend a few minutes recalling each of the memories and write down a bullet point list, under each title on your timeline, of any sights, sounds, smells, tastes, or feelings that you recall.
👉 At the end of the week reflect on those moments and the way they connect you to the other people involved in that event.
👉 Journal about the attachments you want to make moving forward.
