What is attachment?


Attachment is a deep and enduring emotional bond that connects one person to another across time and space, that can not be broken.


Here's an attachment exercise for this week:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Set a timer for 20 minutes, and sit down with a blank sheet of paper and a pencil.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Starting with your birth, draw a timeline, marking the major events in your life - specifically, events that had a big impact on you - and title them.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Throughout the week, spend a few minutes recalling each of the memories and write down a bullet point list, under each title on your timeline, of any sights, sounds, smells, tastes, or feelings that you recall.

๐Ÿ‘‰ At the end of the week reflect on those moments and the way they connect you to the other people involved in that event.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Journal about the attachments you want to make moving forward.
