A trust cycle is the firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, resource, or strength of someone. These cycles can be completed when these six things happen:
● A need is identified
● The need is expressed
● There is a positive response to the need
● The need is satisfied
● Comfort/security is experienced in the completion of the cycle
● Gratitude is experienced
Trust cycles can only be completed through relational connections, because only in a relationship can the full range of your needs be met. Completed trust cycles reinforce positive attachments in your brain and strengthen your belief that when you have a need, it will be met, and you live your life more open. Essentially -- trust cycles help you trust people!
This week, take some time to journal and answer this question: Is there a need or want in my life that someone else can meet? Who should I intentionally initiate a trust cycle with to meet that need?
